WHERE SPEED
MEETS EASE.

SIX SIMPLE STEPS TO

CUTTING LABOR COSTS AND BUILD TIME.

With over 40 years of concrete and construction experience, we’ve got our processes down. We approach every project with the end goal of helping you find ways to save time and reduce costs. Now with SpeedBlock, your walls can go up in record speed, with a smaller crew and less wear on your installing crews.

OUR PROCESS IS ALL ABOUT
ENGINEERED EFFICIENCIES

The SpeedBlock team is engaged in your projects from the start and stays the course in ensuring all your CMU panels are to the right specifications for your project.

1.

SUBMIT YOUR PLANS

Send us your plans and we will prepare a detailed quote to build your walls using one of our certified installation contractors.

2.

SHOP PLANS

We prepare detailed Installation Shop Plans, showing each CMU Block with dimensions and identification numbers, and a List of CMUs for your project that shows detailed information.

3.

ENGINEERING

Submit our shop plans to your structural engineer or we can provide an engineer to prepare masonry structural plans, details and specifications, ready for permit approval. SpeedBlock walls are engineered as standard Concrete Masonry Walls per ICC Chapter 21. See our ICC ER approval report.

4.

DELIVERY

Our CMU blocks are delivered in proper sequence on standard flatbed trucks, and clearly labeled, so crews can easily follow the wall build layout plans, which allows for a fast and efficient wall building process. Blocks can be unloaded from delivery trucks by forklifts and job sites can be pre-stocked and ready for later installation.

5.

INSTALLATION

Our certified crews use our installation hardware, and braces with truck- mounted cranes for handling, lifting and block installation, but in some cases forklifts or reach-lifts can be used. Our standard precision 24-feet blocks weigh approximately 2,300 pounds. Workers use man lifts to install rebar, mortar and grout walls.

6.

INSPECTION

SpeedBlock is inspected and tested as ASTM C90 hollow concrete masonry walls, using standard mortar, rebar, and grout. For each job, we supply 8 x 16-inch specimen blocks from our standard 24-foot blocks. These are used to prepare prism test assemblies for inspection agencies to test and approve.
